This is definitely specific to ThinkPads. It can be reproduced with other
60-61 series such as X61. But I think this is present in Linux as well (and
maybe even Windows).

BTW, the only time I see this is after a crash! I have never seen it
otherwise.

I suspect this this is probably a red herring, like this one, where
there was an ACPI warning message that had nothing to do with the
silent hanging thread:

We really need to know what's hanging here, e.g. by entering ddb and
getting a stack trace.
Can this still be reproduced?
