Correct. The pkg 'emacs' on this system points to the 'emacs24' by default.

This is a known issue when emacs is linked against libumem, as it is in
our packages, due to emacs' esoteric memory handling.
We are currently looking into ways to fix this, however for now if you
need a stable emacs you should build it yourself without using any of the
Joyent packages.
