System: NetBSD 6.1_STABLE (N40L) #0: Thu Apr 24 14:25:15 PDT 2014 root@control.clock.org:/var/obj/sys/arch/amd64/compile/N40L
Architecture: amd64
Machine: amd64
>Description:
Several key manual pages describing various aspects of
booting an amd64 system are missing from /usr/share/man/man8/amd64
but they appear in the i386 equivalent. Those that are
appropriate to both ports should be cross-linked.
>How-To-Repeat:
	Login to NetBSD/amd64 system.

	% man boot

	notice references to boot_console(8).

	% man boot_console
man: no entry for boot_console in the manual.

	go looking, and find /usr/share/man/man8/i386/boot_console.8
>Fix:
Determine which of the man pages in /usr/share/man/man8/i386
also apply to amd64, and change the appropriate Makefile
to see that they are linked in there.

Eh, no. The correct fix is to install the sane man pages to man8/x86.
That is searched by both i386 and amd64.

I'm not picky about the "how", so long as the information is more =
 readily
available to those who seek it.
