>Description:
The man pages options(4) and compat_netbsd32(8) are out of date
concerning the COMPAT_NETBSD32 kernel option. More architectures than
amd64 and sparc64 now make use of the option, and its meaning has
been expanded beyond just allowing 32-bit binaries to run in 64-bit
environments.

The arm ports now use this option to provide compatibility between
arm and earm ABIs (within a 32-bit environment). Separately, it
appears that various 64-bit targets other than amd64 and sparc64 now
also make use of the option, as I can see references in files for the
following: algor, evbmips, ofppc, pmax, sbmips, and sgimips.

>How-To-Repeat:
Inspect code and compare vs. documentation.
>Fix:
Update the man pages. I can submit patches if desired.

 Module Name:	src
 Committed By:	gutteridge
 Date: Thu Jan 17 07:05:25 UTC 2019

 Modified Files:
 	src/share/man/man8: compat_netbsd32.8

 Log Message:
compat_netbsd32(8): brief adjustments concerning ARM binary support.
At present, aarch64 doesn't actually offer OABI compatibility. Also
note that this provides OABI vs. EABI compatibility for 32-bit ARM
ports. Addresses the remainder of PR misc/48968.
