System: NetBSD speedy.whooppee.com 8.99.1 NetBSD 8.99.1 (SPEEDY 2017-07-20 01:01:55 UTC) #0: Thu Jul 20 02:03:10 UTC 2017 paul@speedy.whooppee.com:/build/netbsd-local/obj/amd64/sys/arch/amd64/compile/SPEEDY amd64
Architecture: x86_64
Machine: amd64
>Description:
It would be extremely beneficial to have the ability to specify the
system-wide module load path (sysctl variable kern.module.path) at
boot time, overriding the default value.

Note that, to get maximum benefit of this change, the user-provided
path would need to be available very early in the boot process,
before any modules specified via "load" commands (either to the
boot loader's own command line, or in /boot.cfg) are "pushed" to
the kernel.
