>Description:
I was wondering why my machine could no longer resume. Turns out it's because I enabled tpm(4) in the BIOS.

With an enabled tpm, on resume, the machine hangs and doesn't wake up the display.

With a disabled tpm, e.g.

tpm0 at isa0 iomem 0xfed40000-0xfed44fff irq 7tpm0: device 0x0000104a rev 0x4e
tpm0 at isa0 iomem 0xfed40000-0xfed44fff irq 7tpm0: device 0x0000104a rev 0x4e
tpm0 at isa0 iomem 0xfed40000-0xfed44fff irq 7
tpm0: device 0x0000104a rev 0x4e
tpm0: tpm is deactivated
tpm0: deactivating entropy source

The machine can reliably resume.
>How-To-Repeat:
Enable tpm after being advised that it has magic entropy-giving powers, wonder why resume no longer works
