RX 580 (main GPU)
RTX 4060 (also tried)
16GB of DDR5 RAM
AMD Ryzen 5 8400F Processor

using an HDMI cable
UEFI system, by the way.
UEFI in the BIOS as well, not on CSM.

 Could you try a netbsd-11 or HEAD image from

 	https://nycdn.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily

 just to check if this has been fixed already?

 Thanks,

 Martin

 using the newest image yields no differing results

 could it be an issue with VBIOS or GPU initialization?

 sorry for the long subject btw

 This sounds like PR misc/59151. The motherboard there looks like a similar
 model to yours, but, different vendor (Gigabyte).

 Can you try Paul's patch in that PR?
