        Our NFS server always does synchronous writes for v2 write
	requests.  Most vendor implementations do async writes by
	default, and have a knob to switch the behaviour.  This makes
	us look very bad on performance comparisons.

>How-To-Repeat:
        Time writes from a v2 client to NetBSD and (e.g.) Sun servers.

>Fix:
        Add such a knob (i.e. via sysctl(2)).  This should be trivial.
