>Description:
	X is unusable when using KDE 4.5 on my machine.  The X server crashes
	very frequently while using KDE.  I presume this is the fault of the
	3D acceleration code because it is being intensively used by KDE.  The
	X server is rock solid with fluxbox, for example.

        Also, the crashes appear to happen when a new window/overlay pops up.
	Some times it is when konqueror opens the address autocompletion
	suggestions; other times when clicking on the top-right icon of the
	desktop.

	The crashes don't happen all the time though, and they are kinda
	unpredictable.  In general, the server will stay up fine for the first
	few minutes no matter what I do with KDE.  But after a few use (not
	much), it crashes.

	This is on a MacBookPro2,2 with an ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 running
	NetBSD/amd64 current + xsrc as of 2011/03/15.

 The patch seems to work fine; X hasn't crashed after some intensive
 KDE usage.  Do you think we should commit it to our tree?

 netbsd-5 is xorg 1.6.5, shouldn't have this problem.

 The patch does not apply cleanly to netbsd-5's xsrc.  I have no easy
 way to validate if the problem exists there nor, if it does actually
 exist, if this patch fixes it :-/
