After I upgraded my ULTRA60 from a few weeks old 4.99.2 to 4.99.3 its
kernel started crashing if I try to powerdown or reboot the machine
via the "shutdown" command. Here is the backtrace provided by
the kernel debugger:

I tried to get a dump with "reboot 0x100" but it didn't work.

This problems even happens if I boot the machine into single user mode
and shut it down before mounting any filesystems.

 	Kind regards

This looks like a random fault observed by a few people since the MP changes
for cpu initialization on sparc64 have been merged - can you realy reproduce
it with shutdown on your machine? That would be realy helpfull ;-)

 Yes, with 100% reliability.

It seems that Matthew Green's latest changes fixed the problem. Both
"shutdown -r" and "shutdown -p" now works withouth problems for me.
This PR can therefore be closed.

 	Kind regards
