>Description:
I am encountering reproducible "heart stopped beating" panics. These
seem to occur when particular X11 activities are in progress. For
example, if I start xscreensaver-demo and start asking for samples of
OpenGL screensavers, that tends to kill it. But it has also crashed
with simpler activities (from a graphical perspective, perhaps), like
an Xfce session starting up.

Crash version 10.99.14, image version 10.99.14.
crash: _kvm_kvatop(0)

I guess it goes without saying I could test with heartbeat disabled,
which I'll do, but haven't got to get, as I've been running it further
with it enabled. I don't have anything very specific to say except that
it's evident that this only happens when X is running. I can run this
machine without X for days and beat on it with all CPUs active building
things, no issue. It can sit idle for half a day, start X and it almost
immediately panics. (This is a Skylake CPU, BTW, which I understand has
 known architectural issues.)

 Dave

PS since heartbeat is enabled by default, we should probably install the
heartbeat(9) man page. I can take care of that, if it helps.

I suspect this is actually a duplicate of PR kern/59339. I applied the
last version of the patches there, and I haven't been able to reproduce
the issue with those patches in place.
