NetBSD netbeast 11.0_RC4 NetBSD 11.0_RC4 (GENERIC) #0: Tue May 12 04:23:51 UTC 2026 mkrepro@mkrepro.NetBSD.org:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC amd64
>Description:
I'm using a Thinkpad T580 with a synaptics style touchpad and built in Intel video.
When I disable then reenable the /dev/wsmouse device using these commands
xinput --set-prop '/dev/wsmouse' 'Device Enabled' 0
xinput --set-prop '/dev/wsmouse' 'Device Enabled' 1
or these commands
xinput disable '/dev/wsmouse'
xinput enable '/dev/wsmouse'
the audio stutters on the second command and the return key starts repeating until I hit it again.
When I'm using XFCE and use the Mouse and Touchpad program and use the toggle to disable and reenable the same device, the audio also stutters and the toggle switch starts turning on and off (probably the keyboard repeating thing again).
I tried using CTWM instead of XFCE, but the problem persists.
>How-To-Repeat:
Disable and reenable the /dev/wsmouse device via xinput.
